A One-Stop Shop activity was conducted in Barangay Vitali, Zamboanga City on August 01 by the CENRO Zamboanga City, led by CENR Officer Jaime C. Salvador, along with Section and Unit Chiefs and Staff. The event also involved the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Zamboanga Sibugay, represented by Technical Services Division Chief Reynaldo C. Cuaresma, and the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), represented by PEMU Zamboanga Sibugay Chief Engr. Norman A. Erazo, in coordination with the Barangay Council of Barangay Vitali.
This initiative aims to bring DENR services directly to local government units and demonstrate the benefits of one-stop shops. Barangay Vitali served as the pilot site for the “DENR Services on Wheels” activity. The event was attended by Barangay Chairman Hon. Regalado G. Marquez, his council, and constituents.
The One-Stop Shop included communication, education, and public awareness (CEPA) on DENR services, distribution of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, and Prickly narra (Pterocarpus indicus forma echinatus) seedlings. It also involved awarding Renewed Certificates of Stewardship Contracts (CSC) and addressing constituents’ needs related to ENR services, such as applications for Homestead and Chainsaw permits, and CBFM stewardship renewal.
This initiative aims to enhance the delivery of ENR services and improve accessibility for local communities.
