Pagadian: BFAR IX unfolds the CY2022 lined-up activities through regional target setting cum “Salamat Mabuhay” program for the retirees

Region 9 – The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Regional Office IX conducted the Regional Target Setting of Plans, Programs, and Activities based on the General Appropriation Act (GAA) for CY 2022 at BFAR IX Conference Room, Zamboanga City on January 19-21, 2022 spearheaded by Regional Director Isidro M. Velayo, Jr., together with the Division Chiefs, Section Chiefs, Unit Heads, Provincial/City Fishery Officers of Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga Del Sur, Zamboanga Del Norte, and Zamboanga City, Project Leaders, and Technology Outreach Station Managers.

The three (3)-day activities highlighted the CY 2022 Plans, Programs, and Activities (PPAs) by setting the targets for implementation, specifically the fishery livelihood interventions by province and municipality. The activity served as a pathway to urge all the concerned personnel of BFAR IX to raise their issues and concerns that hampered the efficient implementation of all programmed PPAs and likewise develop strategies and recommendations to fill the gaps.

Mr. Marlon B. Dagandan, OIC, FPSSD/PHMD gave the opening remark by acknowledging and urging the participants to be participative throughout the activity.

RD Velayo, in his message, commended the BFAR IX men and women for their contribution to the Bureau despite these trying times. Everyone could navigate and sail through this unprecedented period and still managed to meet the targets, resulting in an overall satisfactory rating. He also reminded the employees to watch and prioritize their health and well-being, share their innovative ideas that could guarantee a positive response and support, and to be always be inspired in everything that they do.

The presentations and discussion include the BFAR IX Physical and Financial Performance based on Obligation (as of December 2021), 2022 PPAs based on Approved General Appropriations Act (GAA), BFAR IX CY 2022 Lined-Up Project and Activities by Budget Codes and Setting of CY 2022 targets by province (Livelihood Interventions/ Major Targets) given by Ms. Irish B. Mamhot, OIC, PMES/ Budget Officer;  BFAR IX Financial Performance based on Disbursement (as of December 2021) and 2022, and List of Accounts Payable (AP) and Not Yet Due and Demandable (NYDD) by Ms. Jeryl J. Aniñon, Regional Bookkeeper. In addition, Mr. Crisanto P. Catubig, OIC, HRMO also oriented the participants on  Basic Civil Service

Commission (CSC) Laws, Rules and Regulations, and Regular/ Casual Employees Benefits. Afterwhich, Ms. Liliosa R. Paredes, OIC, FAD facilitated the discussion and consolidation of issues and concerns per office to address the urgent matters by the management. Each office submitted its final activity and project proposals with the purchase requests as a final activity output.

The activity was concluded with a ‘Salamat Mabuhay’ program to honor and appreciate two (2) retirees in the person of Ms. Rosana F. Trillanes, OIC, Cashier, and Ms. Yolanda V. Gutierrez, Collecting Officer for their 43 and 18 years of government service respectively.

Personal and featured audio-video presentation messages from the management and their close colleagues were also delivered and presented to them. In the same way, the retirees expressed their heartfelt and profound gratitude to respond to the wishful messages and highlight the Bureau’s contribution not just for self-development and improvement but also for the well-spent years of making memories with them.
