Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur – At around 9:35 PM on November 1, 2024, a 67-year-old male was arrested while authorities were serving a warrant in Purok Kamangkaw, Brgy. Napolan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.
Personnel from the PNP’s CIDG ZDS PFU, in coordination with CIDG RSOT 9, 902nd RMFB 9, Pagadian CPS, and Aurora MPS, conducted a manhunt operation against the wanted individual, resulting in his apprehension. The suspect is listed as a Top 10 Most Wanted Person at the Regional Level and Top 9 at the Provincial Level, residing in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant issued by the Presiding Judge of the RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, dated October 21, 2024. He faces charges of two counts of Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 366 of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to Section 5(b) of RA 7610, as well as two counts of Sexual Assault under Article 266-A, Paragraph 2 of the Revised Penal Code, also in relation to Section 5(b) of RA 7610. The recommended bail bond for each count is Php 200,000.00.
The accused is currently in the custody of CIDG ZDS PFU for proper disposition.
