Pagadian: Accomplishment Report On Seizure Of Smuggled Cigarettes Brgy. Upper Bag-Ong Tudela, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur

Zamboanga del Sur – Police Lieutenant MARK LOU S. CABALUNA, Officer In-Charge of Josefina Municipal Police Station reported to Police Colonel ROEL L. LAMI-ING, PD, ZSPPO regarding the on Seizure of Smuggled Cigarettes Brgy. Upper Bag-ong Tudela, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur.

Police Lieutenant MARK LOU S. CABALUNA said that at about 4:42 in the morning of October 17, 2021, the undersigned received information thru cellular phone call from PLT Rynner Alombro Ordonio – Platoon Leader of 4th Platoon 1st PMFC, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur that at about 8:00 in the evening of October 16, 2021 (as per logbook record) while PNP personnel of 4th Platoon, 1st PMFC, Josefina MPS personnel and 53rd IB implemented the Provincial Executive Order 2021-32 and Executive order number 245 (Amended rules and regulation governing the exportation and importation of Tabacco and tobacco products) and section 117 of R.A Number 10863 (Customs modernization and tariff act) at Quarantined Check Point, Brgy. Upper Bag-ong Tudela, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur that they hold one (1) White Pick-up Nissan Navarra bearing plate number KAC 7762 registered under the name of Sitemarian Scalanda of Barangay Kagawasan Village Subdivision and driven by one (1) Eugene Bakil Esteban 43 years old (DOB July 2, 1978), married and a resident of Loong Building, Tumaga, Zamboanga City, holder of non-professional drivers number J04-14-010093 loaded with cigarettes with brand named Gudang Baru.

That immediately elements of Josefina MPS led by PEMS Capadngan went to the said Quarantine Control Point (QCP) and conducted inventory together with Pcpl Gesryl Villapania and Patrolman Emmanuel Rato in the presence of Barangay Kagawad Nehemeas T. Notarion and Barangay Kagawad Demetrio N. Lamban and Barangay Kagawad Agapito Simbajon. Said vehicle and smuggled cigarettes was in the custody of 4th Platoon, 1st PMFC. That during the said inventory the driver of said vehicle was nowhere to be found. Investigator on case PSMS Alfredo Repe with cellphone number 09306078012.

Items Recovered: Eight Hundred Seventy Four 874 reams of Gudang Baru cigarettes with estimated market value of Seven Hundred Eighty Six Thousand and Six Hundred pesos (₱ 786, 600.00).

Police Lieutenant MARK LOU S. CABALUNA commended the operating personnel for a job well done and encouraged all men and women of Josefina MPS to continue their unwavering efforts and commitment in maintaining our community for a safer place to live.

Josefina Municipal Police Station requested the public to support the PNP in the attainment of our mission through cooperation and giving of timely and relevant information.
