The mass wedding was presided by Guipos town mayor Hon. Vicente P. Cajeta.

The ceremony was also sponsored by various civilian and military stakeholders that significantly supported 53IB’s “Better Life: Adopt-a-CAFGU Project.” In December last year, 53IB launched the said project to develop the character and competence of CAFGUs and provide them a venue to attain wholistic development.

53rd IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera in his message thanked the sponsors for making the ceremony possible.

“I extend my utmost gratitude to our partners for making this mass wedding for our CAFGUs possible and memorable,” said Lt. Col. Herrera.

“Not only do we promote their wellbeing, but we also show our CAFGUs how we appreciate their sacrifices and dedication to duty in keeping our towns safe,” he added.
