OFW from Hong Kong, new PUM in Zamboanga City


City Health Office staff is monitoring the condition of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who arrived Zamboanga from Hong Kong recently.

City Health Officer, Dr Dulce Amor Miravite directed the health staff of the barangay where the OFW resides to interview, gather data and regularly check the condition of the female OFW.

The said OFW asked CHO for her to undergo self quarantine for 14 days at their residence, Miravite said.

The City Health Officer did not mention from what barangay the said OFW resides in the city.

The CHO was informed by no less that the barangay chairman of the community about the arrival of the OFW, which prompted staff of CHO to verify and check the report.

MIravite claimed, the OFW accordingly sought the permission of her employer in Hong Kong to allow her to come home to visit her ailing father.

The said OFW placed under PUM, accordingly passed the thermal scanners of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and Zamboanga International Airport when she arrived.
