“No Movement Policy” Ends. City Lockdown From Sept. 3 To 15

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia’s lifted the restrictions of EO 55 re “No Movement Policy” effective August 29, 2020.He thanked those who participated in the “0-Plan: One-Time, Big-Time Mass Testing” in Bacolod City for 2 days [Aug. 28-29], including the Swab Test teams from Bacolod and Negros Occidental. He also thanked Provincial Governor Bong Lacson and Provincial Consultant Albee Benitez for initiating the mass testing program, and all the Bacolodnons who cooperated in the conduct of the mass testing. He  met with Medical societies.

Religious leaders, and representatives of the Business Sector in response to the medical doctors’ request for recess/ break/ time out due to the increase of COVID-19 cases yesterday (Aug 30). With this, he laid down the plan of reinstituting the use of HQPs (Home Quarantine Passes) starting September 3-15, which will be distributed to each household in Bacolod, to restrict the movement of individuals in the city. Border controls and Checkup points will be implemented during said period.

Finally, he expressed his gratitude to President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Bong Go who immediately responded to his appeal for help for the augmentation of medical personnel and supplies for Bacolod. (News and photo by Bacolod City Public Information Office)
