Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Surigao City conducted registration for the Philippine National ID System to all Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel assigned in the Province of Surigao del Norte held at Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte Office, Brgy. Taft, Surigao City from 02 to 03 August 2021.
The said activity was in accordance to Republic Act No. 11055 otherwise known as “Philippine Identification System Act” which purpose is to establish a single national identification system that aims to provide a valid proof of identify for the Filipino citizens and resident aliens of the Philippines.
A total of 130 PCG personnel were registered in the aforementioned activity which includes CG COMMO LUISITIO S SIBAYAN the District Commander of Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao (CGDNEM) and CG CDR ELAINE R PANGILNAN the Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte.
CG CDR. PANGILINAN expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) based in Surigao City for their tireless efforts in ensuring all PCG personnel particularly assigned in the Province of Surigao del Norte will be catered and registered in the new ID system of the country.
