Municipality Of Tampakan Openhandedly Accepted The Community Support Program Teams During The Conduct Of Send-Off Ceremony Of Task Group Tampakan

Davao City –  Task Group Tampakan (CSP Teams) from 39IB, 10ID, PA composed of 24 personnel led by Lt. Mark Anthony G. Mahicon was accepted by the municipality of Tampakan during the Send-Off Ceremony.in front of the Municipal Hall of Tampakan, South Cotabato.

The CSP teams will be deployed specifically to Brgy. Danlag, Brgy Palo 19 and Brgy. Tablu all of Tampakan, South Cotabato purposely to promote peace and development by assessing the needs of the people of said barangays and helping different local and provincial government agencies of South Cotabato in delivering government services and developmental projects in accordance with the mandate of our president in Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC).

Highlighted during this momentous event is the presentation of CSP teams by 1LT Ronald D Velasco, 39IB Operations Officer and acceptance by Hon. John Mark C. Baldon, Municipal Vice Mayor duly representing Hon. Leonardo V. Escobillo, Municipal Mayor of Tampakan. Also present during the activity are the Brgy Captains of above mentioned barangays who appreciated the efforts and initiative of the Phil. Army in the attainment of a peaceful and conflict resilient communities.

Security Consultant of Tampakan, Mr. Aldrin Baldonado applauded the initiative of Phil Army in the attainment of a peaceful community. “In behalf of the Hon. Mayor of Tampakan we are very much grateful with the initiative of the Phil Army in reaching out to communities and bridging the gaps between the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantage Areas and our government.

With their efforts the issues and concerns of the community will be coordinated to respective local and provincial government and will further be addressed. Rest assured that the municipality of Tampakan will support the Phil Army in their efforts in ending local communist armed conflict.”

Commander of the 39th Infantry Battalion, LTC. Geoffrey M. Carandang emphasized the importance of MCSP. “First of all I would like to thank the municipality of Tampakan especially to the respective Brgy Captains of Brgy Danlag, Brgy. Palo 19 and Brgy. Tablu for giving us a warm welcome. MCSP is one of the program under the Executive Order No. 70 or the “Whole-of-Nation” approach mandated by our president in which the MCSP teams will stay in the respective barangays especially to those identified as Geographically Isolated and Disadvantage Areas and assess the needs of the people in said barangays and coordinate such needs to different local and provincial government agencies for their appropriate action. With all the government services delivered, the community will no longer be exploited by the CPP-NPA-NDF and will deny any kind of support to CTGs that will result to a lasting peace and sustainable development.” (CMO 39th IB | Michael Manguhig, RPN DXKT Davao OIC)
