The Local Government Unit of General Luna has initially issued “CLOSURE/SUSPENSION ORDER” to seven (7) business establishments for violating the COVID-19 protocols set forth by the LGU through Executive Orders and related Ordinances such as the observance of basic health protocols and the strict prohibition of the conduct of non-essential gatherings and activities especially during this time of pandemic.
Let this be a warning to all business establishments that are continuously disrespecting and defying the local orders imposed by the LGU.
EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 023, SERIES OF 2021 OR AN ORDER STRICTLY PROHIBITING THE CONDUCT OF NON-ESSENTIAL GATHERINGS AND ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF GENERAL LUNA, SURIGAO DEL NORTE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
With the emerging resurgence of COVID-19, the President has declared selected Provinces under MGCQ and MECQ, and more contagious and infectious new variant of the COVID-19 known as SARS-CoV-1 (B.1.1.7 or VUI 2020/12/01 from UK and 501.V2 from South Africa are now spreading in some parts of the country.
Currently, there are confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Municipality of General Luna. And as part of the LGU’s preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19, non-essential mass gatherings and activities such as but not limited to musical events, videoke bars, disco pubs, resto bars, parties, outdoor gatherings such as picnics and the like, garage sales, bazaars, closing sales, other nightlife gimmicks, and other gatherings/events that might draw crowds are strictly prohibited until further notice.
For gatherings such as birthdays, weddings, baptism, anniversaries and the like, the same are encouraged to be celebrated with the family members only subject to the new normal protocols and guidelines.
