Davao City – The 39th Infantry Battalion (IB) hosted the MOA Signing with Inter-Agency Support and Commitment in the Development of sustainable communities in the Municipality of Makilala and the Launching of Agri-Soldiers and Dairy Project at Headquarters 39IB, Poblacion, Makilala.
The Inter-Agency Support and Commitment for the Development of Makilala emerged through the combined efforts of the Office of the Municipal Mayor of Makilala, Office of the Provincial Governor of Cotabato, Department of Agriculture XII, BLGUs of Makilala, DepEd, USM, Business Sector, IP Sector, and the 39th Infantry Battalion.
The event was spearheaded by Hon. Nancy A Catamco, Provincial Governor of Cotabato with full support from the Office of 2nd District Representative of Cotabato and Office of the Municipal Mayor of Makilala. The event was also graced with the presence of the Director of the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners – Retired Col. Celestino F. Desamito Jr..
The highlights of the event included the MOA Signing for the Inter-Agency Support and Commitment for the Development of Makilala, Launching of the Dairy Feasibility Project and Agri-Soldiers which is a partnership between the Department and Agriculture and the 39th Infantry Battalion to bring peace to communities through Agri-Industrialization.
The Provincial Local Government Unit of North Cotabato fully supports the Inter-Agency initiative to attain development in the Municipality of Makilala.
“We will Unite as one to end Insurgency in the Community at Magtulungan tayong lahat upang malagpasan ang mga natural na kalamidad na ating kinakaharap lalong lalo na ang Covid-19 Pandemic” said Governor Nancy Catamco.
