Pumalo na sa 27 ang kabuuang bilang ng mga Persons Under Investigation (PUI) na dahil sa posibilidad ng pagiging infected o nahawaan ng novel coronavirus.
Batay ito sa pinakahuling bilang ng Department of Health (DOH) kung saan karamihan sa mga ito ay Chinese nationals at may travel history sa Wuhan City, China.
Ayon kay Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, tatlo sa nabanggit na bilang ang na-discharge na mula sa hospital.
Dagdag ni Duque, 13 sa mga PUI ang sumailalim na sa swab test sa Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) at hinihintay na lamang ang resulta.
Habang anim naman ang naipadala na ang sample sa laboratoryo sa Australia para sa confirmatory test.
Kasabay nito, muli namang iginiit ni Duque na nananatiling ncov free ang Pilipinas.
13 in Metro Manila, 3 in Western Visayas, 3 in Central Visayas, one in Mimaropa, one in Eastern Visayas, and one in Northern Mindanao. As of today, three of the PUI’s have already been discharged as the laboratory results revealed other diseases. DOH is now awaiting results for 13 PUI’s for the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine for screening and 6 PUI laboratory results from the Victorian infectious disease reference laboratory for confirmation,” ani Duque.
