Mayor Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan of La Castellana, Negros Occidental said Tuesday that there is no truth to reports that she has been suspended for 90 days.

“I continue to dispose of my duties and responsibilities as chief executive of this town,” Mangilimutan told reporters here Tuesday.

The mayor said some employees of the town got wind of the rumor and informed her about it.

She told them that she continues to sign documents including their payroll.

The mayor said her political detractors are the ones behind the “suspension rumors.”

The mayor added that if she is suspended there should be documents to show such order.

“Granting that my opponents filed a case, it will undergo a process, until then it remains hearsay,” Mangilimutan added.

She lamented that “it’s a bit frustrating because I am just doing my job.”

Mangulimutan said her constituents know she is just doing her job and is currently holding two offices – one at the municipal hall and a satellite office at Barangay Cabacungan.

As to her political detractors, the mayor said “I will just pray for them.”
