Davao del Norte: In the height of COVID-19 Pandemic, Makatao Battalion successfully distributed bread & choco and hot arroz caldo to 105 IP households at So. Maguintalunan, Brgy New Visayas, Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte.
Along with the loudspeaker operation, troops on board military vehicle, conducted feeding activity to the IP community right at their doorstep to ensure social distancing among the populace in observance of the preventive protocols against the deadly virus.
Poverty-stricken and vulnerable communities in the unit’s area of responsibility struggle more in these trying times so it opted the battalion to share social assistance and comfort to the IP especially the children in the sitio through food distribution with, of course, freshly baked pandesal from the Makatao Bakeshop.
Makatao continues to uphold its mandate, as it brings motivation and inspiration to the community as part of its zealous commitment in helping and protecting its people especially during crisis.
