At present, DILG Caraga records 4,048 locally stranded individuals who wish to return to the Caraga region. The number is yet to include students from Mindanao State University and local workers since needed information of these individuals has not been provided to the agency.

In today’s 5th One Caraga Shield Teleconference Meeting, DILG Caraga bared that they are continuously working with concerned agencies to ensure that these individuals have complied with local health protocols which is a major prerequisite in having granted permission to return to their respective hometowns.

Both locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and repatriated OFWs will be subjected to the needed testing. LSIs, in particular, will be required to undergo the RT-PCR test twice and should yield negative results for COVID-19 before being allowed to successfully reenter their hometowns.
