Korean Government Donates 14 Patrol Cars To Davao City Police Office

Davao City –   Early in the morning yesterday a ceremonial turnover and blessings of 12 Elantra Patrol Cars and 2 Starex Patrol Vans was held in front of Davao City Hall building during the Flag raising ceremony. These Vehicles are donated by the South Korean Government to the Philippione National Police as part of their official development assistance to the country and Davao City is identified as one of the ceties who had established Korean Communities.

The vehicle donate was made possible through Hyundai, in partnership with the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) and the Korean International Cooperation Agency ( KOICA) under the six-year joint project of the Republic of Korea and the Philippines to modernize the PNP’s crime busting capabilities.

The ceremonial turnover of keys was initiated by Mr. Edgar N Ang, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korean in Davao City duly received by no less than the Regional Director PRO 11 PCSupt Marcelo Morales, DCPO Director PSSupt Alexander Tagum, City Administrator Atty Zulaica Lopez, and Hon Maria Belen Acosta and Hon Mary Joselle Villafuerte for the City Government.

The 12 Elantra Patrol Cars will be distributed equally to all police stations of DCPO where Station Commanders will exercise administrative supervision over the usage but the same will be under the operational control of the Mobile Patrol Group, Davao City Police Office.
