Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan officially becomes the running mate of Vice President Leonor “Leni” Robredo.

Pangilinan finally filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) last Friday at the Sofitel Harbor Garden Tent in Pasay City to run as vice president in the 2022 polls.

He is running under the Liberal Party, while Robredo will be joining the next presidential race as an independent candidate.

Like Robredo, when she filed her COC last Thursday, Pangilinan no longer held a press conference in the filing venue.

Prior to his filing, Pangilinan was initially eyeing a reelection bid in the senate during the next polls, but he opted to run for a higher position instead. (Samuel Medenilla)
