Joint effort of Police Regional Office 9 (PRO9) OPLAN SAKLOB dubbed as “Task Force Pink Panther” through Task Group “Triple SB” and 42nd IB Philippine Army has recovered the kidnap victim Rex Susulan Triplitt at about 10:20 AM September 30, 2020 at Brgy. Pisa Itom, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.
It is known that the said victim was kidnapped on September 16, 2020 on-board with their black XRM Motorcycle together with his wife and son while on their way home to Brgy. Piacan, Sirawai by four (4) unidentified male factors wearing camouflage uniform.
His wife and son were able to escape from the kidnappers while Mr. Triplitt was forcibly taken.
A 30 million pesos ransom money was initially demanded by the kidnappers for the immediate release of the victim.
The joint forces of PNP and AFP units has continuously conducted hot pursuit operations particularly in the area of interest that led to the arrest of a suspect Rocky Ventura last September 27, 2020 at Sitio Tanduh, Kasoy, Brgy. Bitugan, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte and believed to be the harboring site of the kidnappers.
As a result, several PNP uniforms, medicines, personal belongings of the wife of the kidnap victim where recovered from the suspect that subsequently led to the conduct of joint PNP-AFP law enforcement operation at Brgy. Pisa Itom, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte and resulted to the successful rescue of the kidnap victim.
Mr. Triplitt is now under government’s custody and being attended by medical personnel of Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte. (Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Police Office)
