Iriga: Wearing of facemasks not mandatory but highly encourage according to LGU Naga

City officials here ‘highly encouraged’ the public to wear facemasks in crowded and closed spaces following the reinstatement of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) of alert levels.

Naga City, along with the provinces of Albay, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon and Catanduanes was placed under Alert Level 1 status from April 15 until April 30.

City Events, Protocol and Public Information Officer Allen Reondanga reiterated that wearing of facemasks is mandatory among those working and going inside hospital, infirmary and medical facilities under Alert Level 1 but is “highly encouraged” in other indoor, outdoor and public places.
