Iriga: Two Street-Level Individuals Nabbed in Anti-Drug Operation in Iriga City; P88.4K worth of Suspected Shabu Seized

Two individuals were arrested following the successful implementation of a search warrant operation conducted by the Iriga City Police Station of the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 5, on July 27, 2026, at Barangay San Francisco, Iriga City.

The operation was carried out at around 1:21 PM and resulted in the arrest of two suspects identified by their aliases “Gel” and “Nikki,” both considered street-level individuals and residents of the said area.

During the lawful implementation of the search warrant, operatives recovered a total of more or less 13 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P88,400.00.

The arrested individuals and the seized pieces of evidence were placed under the custody of Iriga CPS for proper documentation, safekeeping, and disposition in accordance with established procedures.

The search, marking, and inventory of the seized items were conducted in the presence of the suspects and the required insulating witnesses to ensure compliance with legal procedures and the preservation of the integrity of the evidence.

A criminal complaint for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is being prepared by Iriga CPS and will be filed through inquest proceedings against the arrested suspects.

The successful operation underscores the commitment of the Police Regional Office 5 in coordination with partner agencies, to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs and dismantle the activities of individuals involved in the distribution and possession of dangerous substances.
