Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City – Police Regional Office 5 officially welcomed 200 newly appointed Patrolmen and Patrolwomen for the calendar year 2024 under the attrition recruitment program. The oath-taking ceremony was held on December 20, 2024, at the PRO5 Grandstand, Camp BGen Simeon A. Ola.
The event was graced by PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, RD, PRO5, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his speech, PBGEN DIZON commended the recruits for their commitment to public service and reminded them of the vital role they would play in ensuring peace and security in the community.
The newly appointed police officers, consisting of 155 males and 45 females, represent a new generation of public servants dedicated to upholding justice. They are set to undergo rigorous academic and skills training, designed to equip them with the knowledge, discipline, and expertise required in all aspects of law enforcement.
PBGEN Dizon, in his address, said: “Today marks the beginning of your journey as guardians of peace, defenders of justice, and exemplars of integrity. As you don the uniform of the Philippine National Police, you also carry the hopes and trust of the people we are sworn to serve. Strive to be disciplined, compassionate, and courageous. Remember, the badge on your chest is not just a symbol of authority, but also a commitment to service and sacrifice. Let your dedication inspire others and make a lasting impact on our communities.”
The newly minted patrol officers are expected to bolster the ranks of the Philippine National Police in Region 5, contributing to enhanced public safety and community welfare.
