Consistent with the call for zero election related incidents, Police Regional Office 5 under the able leadership of PBGEN. MARIO A. REYES boosts its capabilities to ensure swift action to forbid lawless in the region.
This can be attested with recently conducted career courses and field training program among 231 personnel from the Regional Headquarters Unit who will compose the Reactionary Standby Support Force to be additionally deployed on May 9, 2022. Their training includes Search and Rescue Operation; Emergency Medical Response; Response to Active Shooter; and Crowd Management.
It had also deployed a total of 462 contingents of the Regional Special Operations Task Group (RSOTG) in the province of Masbate as a proactive approach to preempt possible hostile acts that might likely happen in the area.
Aiming to unite various sectors in the society, PBGEN REYES led the peace covenant signing held at the different Police Provincial Offices and City Police Office in PRO5.
During the activity various political candidates in the province came and showed their unity and support on the government’s agenda for safe, accurate, fair polls. This can be manifested during the signing of pledge of commitment to sternly uphold integrity and justness in the coming electoral process.
The unit also continues to conduct joint PNP-COMELEC Checkpoints which resulted to the apprehension of 89 individuals out of the 15, 200 checkpoints conducted. Police authorities were also able to confiscate 81 assorted firearms.
As the Election Day draw nearer PRO5 shall remain relentless on its endeavor to guarantee to every Bicolanos the exercise of their right of suffrage.
