Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City – As part of its ongoing crackdown against drug-related activities, Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) seized a total of P4,112,194.80 worth of illegal drugs during a week-long operation from January 6 to 12, 2025.
Over the course of the week, 29 operations were conducted in the Bicol region, leading to the arrest of 38 individuals involved in illegal drug activities. These operations resulted in the confiscation of 604.611 grams of shabu and 7 grams of marijuana.
Camarines Sur recorded the highest drug seizures, amounting to P2,071,558, followed by Camarines Norte with P1,005,040, and Albay with P878,696. Naga City seized P148,480 worth of illegal drugs, while Sorsogon recorded P8,420. Notably, no illegal drugs were seized in Masbate or Catanduanes during this period.
With the primary goal of combating the illegal drug problem, the PNP Bicol, under the leadership of PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, RD, remains resolute to intensify efforts in collaboration with other agencies to strengthen the fight against illegal drugs.
