Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City – Police Regional Office 5 under the leadership of PBGEN JONNEL C ESTOMO, RD, PRO5 maintains its full alert status in relation to the observance of the Lenten Season.
RD ESTOMO, ordered all unit commanders to double their target hardening efforts to foil movements of lawless elements who might take advantage and hamper the solemnity of the event.
As part of the preparation, PNP Bicol shall deploy Road Safety Marshalls in convergence points particularly in bus terminals, airports, seaports, recreational areas including highways, main thoroughfares and crime prone areas to ensure maximum police presence.
It shall also establish police assistance desks to assist the general public and ensure that the safety health protocols are being followed to avoid the surge of COVID-19 cases.
PNP Bicol also step-up its anti-criminality operations in anticipation of the possible hostilities of the New People’s Army on their founding anniversary on March 29, 2022.
PNP Bicol calls upon the public for their cooperation and support to help police authorities to secure overall peace and security situation in the region.
“We assure the public that the members of the Kasurog cops shall remain in full alert status and are ready to extend the much-needed assistance to the community during the celebration of the Lenten Season. However, we shall not only delimit our operation on this activity we shall also sustain our preparation to provide the Bicolanos a safe and orderly elections”, said RD ESTOMO.
