Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City—In the aftermath of Typhoon “Pepito,” Police Regional Office 5, under the leadership of PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, RD has taken swift action to support its personnel affected by the calamity in Catanduanes. On November 20, 2024, PRO5 mobilized its resources to deliver essential relief supplies as part of its ongoing humanitarian mission. The Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD) facilitated the distribution of 317 boxes of clean drinking water, 295 sacks of rice, and 350 grocery packs. These items were sourced from the PRO5 Food Bank, with additional support from other Police Regional Offices, showcasing a unified effort in addressing the needs of disaster-stricken personnel.
This initiative provides immediate assistance to affected PNP personnel and their families facing the challenges brought by the typhoon. The operation highlights the spirit of Bayanihan, the Filipino value of solidarity and mutual aid during times of adversity.
