Iriga: PPOC-PADAC members, partner agencies recognize in anti-illegal drug efforts campaign

The Provincial Peace and Order Council-Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PPOC-PADAC) has recognized the successful illegal drug efforts of its partner agencies and members.

PLTCOL Edgar E. Azotea, Chief of Police, Polangui MPS (Municipal Police Station), PSSg Benjamin A. Moit Jr., PIU, Albay Provincial Police Office (APPO), PSSg Melissa M. Musa, CAD PNCO, Camalig MPS, PSSg Ela I. Burac, Intel PNCO, Polangui MPS, and PSSg Lisal B. Brogarolas, CAD PNCO from Malilipot MPS were awarded the PNP Narcotic Operatives of the Year.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Narcotic Operatives of the Year award was presented to five (5) PDEA agents.

Media personnel from Engkwentro News iTV.net, Wilbur Bernales, Darlan Barcelon from the Philippine Examiner, Domingo Arao from DZRC 95.5 FM, Isaias S. Quinday Jr. from Radio Polangui, and Angelie Joy B. Galero of DZGB were also bestowed with the PADAC Media Partner Excellence award.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) representatives, Venice V. Villaluz and Nestor Belga, received the PADAC Partner Excellence Award, and the Department of Education (DepEd)-Albay was awarded the PADAC Innovative Agency of the Year.

Governor Atty. Edcel Greco AB Lagman acknowledged the valuable contribution of the said offices and personnel in supporting programs and initiatives of the government in its continued pursuit of eradicating illegal drugs in the province.

“A special salute is extended to the brave men and women of the PNP and PDEA Narcotic Operatives whose relentless pursuit of justice and commitment to eradicating narcotics from our streets are invaluable,” said the governor.

“Our media partners and DOJ collaborators play a crucial role in spreading awareness and ensuring that the message of drug prevention reaches every corner of our province. To the recipient of the Innovative Agency Award, your forward-thinking and inventive approaches have significantly contributed to the effectiveness of our anti-drug initiatives,” the official added.
