Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City – With the upcoming National and Local Elections (NLE) and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections (PE) scheduled for May 2025, the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) headed by PBGEN ANDRE P DIZON, RD, PRO5 is set to activate its Regional Election Monitoring Action Center (REMAC).
The REMAC will function as the central command post for monitoring, consolidating, and coordinating all election-related activities within the region. It is designed to facilitate seamless information flow and real-time support for police personnel deployed in the field to ensure the safe, secure, and orderly conduct of the elections.
Equipped with advanced communication and data-gathering systems, the REMAC will collect, analyze, and disseminate information regarding election-related incidents, security concerns, and field operations. This centralized hub will act as the nerve center for coordinating responses to any issues that may arise during the election period.
Staffed by highly trained personnel of PNP Bicol, the REMAC will operate 24/7 to receive, process, and relay critical updates from the ground. Its round-the-clock operations will ensure immediate action on emerging concerns and provide strategic oversight to guide deployment decisions and field responses.
This initiative highlights PRO5’s commitment to upholding its mandate of maintaining peace and order, protecting voters’ rights, and ensuring the integrity of the 2025 elections.
