Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City โ The Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5), under the resolute leadership of PBGEN NESTOR C BABAGAY JR., Acting Regional Director, continues to intensify its fight against illegal drugs, netting a high-value target in a successful buy-bust operation that yielded over P544,000.00 worth of suspected โshabu.โ
At around 9:11 AM on July 16, 2025, joint operatives from the City Intelligence Unit, City Police Drug Enforcement Unit, and Police Station 1 of Naga City Police Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement AgencyโRegional Office V, conducted the operation at Zone 4, Bayawas St., Brgy. Abella, Naga City. This resulted in the arrest of alias โCaloyโ.
The suspect was arrested after selling illegal drugs to an undercover operative. Confiscated during the operation were 23 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a total weight of 80 grams.
All seized items were properly marked and inventoried in the presence of the suspect and mandatory witnesses, in strict compliance with legal protocols. The arrested individual and the evidence were subsequently brought to Police Station 1, Naga CPO for proper disposition.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are now being prepared against the suspect.
