Police Regional Office 5 headed by PBGEN. WESTRIMUNDO D. OBINQUE, RD together with several partner agencies merged together during the kick-off ceremony of the 2023 National Women’s Month celebration yesterday, March 1, 2023, held at Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City.
This year’s theme, ““WE for gender equality and inclusive society” puts premium that growth must be inclusive, building an environment that provides equal opportunities to all Filipinos and equipping them with skills to participate fully in an innovative and globally competitive economy.
In a message delivered by PBGEN OBINQUE he acknowledged that women’s empowerment is not just about representation in the workforce. It is about creating an environment where women can thrive and reach their full potential. It is about addressing the barriers that prevent women from participating fully in society.
He also urged everyone to work together towards a more just and equitable society for all.
“Let us continue to promote women’s empowerment and support the crucial role of women police officers in the success of our mission but also in making positive change in our society.
