In a meeting held early this morning at the City Mayor’s Office Conference Hall, the chieftains and representatives met with Acting City Tourism Officer Mr. Luisito Benjamin Taduran, Mr. Jor-el Caayao of the City Mayor’s Office, and SK Federation President Hon. Michael B. Samarita.
Also discussed during the meeting is the Medical Mission dedicated for members of the IPs which is scheduled on February 7.
The City Government of Iriga, led by Mayor Rex Cuba Oliva, has launched a series of programs and projects to assure the well-being of the city’s IP communities. Among these projects are programs for livelihood, education, and health care.
Mayor Rex has also been working on having an IP representation in the Sangguniang Panlungsod in order to create inclusive development that benefits everyone, including members of the IP group. (Jv Navarro Verdeflor Jr via LGU Iriga)
