Mayor Rex announced earlier during the flag raising ceremony that city government employees will get their salary increases as the City Development Council (CDC) has already passed on the resolution approving the supplemental Annual Investment Plan (AIP) for the implementation of the fourth and last tranche of salary increase during their meeting on Thursday, September 14.
Mayor said, he and the fiscal managers have to source fund for the implementation as this was not included in the 2023 Annual Investment Plan.
It can be remembered that the third tranche was also implemented this year because it was not given when it took effect in January 2022. There will be two salary increases will be given to the qualified employees this year once the the supplemental budget is approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
The fourth tranche is expected to be released in November but Mayor Rex said he would implement it retroactively, so employees will be entitled to their salary differential starting January 2023.
