Over 1,700 incredible educators from both public and private schools including non teaching personnel in the Iriga City Schools Division gathered at the Iriga City Sports Center last October 3, 2025, for the Iriga City Division World Teacher’s Day and National Teacher’s Day Culminating Activity and Awarding Ceremony. The atmosphere was filled with joy, pride, and gratitude as teachers, school heads, and non-teaching personnel came together to celebrate their collective dedication to shaping the minds of future generations.

Mayor Rex C. Oliva personally graced the occasion, joined by Councilors Jor-El O. Caayao and Melnan R. Murallo-Asanza, offering a sincere message of gratitude to the entire teaching community—words, he noted, that are not said nearly often enough. He paid tribute to the unwavering dedication, quiet perseverance, and invaluable contributions of educators who consistently go the extra mile, both in and out of the classroom.

As part of the City Government’s continued commitment to honor and support its educators, Mayor Rex announced that a total of ₱249,000 in cash incentives will be awarded to this year’s Loyalty Awardees—individuals who have dedicated many years of faithful service to Irigueño learners. This gesture reflects the City’s deep appreciation for long-standing commitment to the teaching profession.

In addition, each teacher in the division received ₱1,000 in cash assistance—a simple yet meaningful expression of the City’s gratitude for their daily efforts, especially amid the evolving demands of education.

The City Government of Iriga remains steadfast in its mission to support, empower, and celebrate the educators who serve as pillars of our community—continuing to shape not only young minds, but the future of Iriga itself.
