Iriga: Mayor Nelson Legacion delivered his State of City’s Children Report in Naga City

As a culminating activity of the National Children’s Month celebration, Mayor Nelson Legacion delivered the State of the City’s Children Report where he reported the accomplishments, plans and programs of the City for the sector of children, held at the Naga Regent Hotel, November 29, 2024.

With the theme: “Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating A Safe Philippines,” the chief executive highlighted Naga City for having conferred its 7th Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance Award by DILG and the Council for the Welfare of Children. Second, for 7 consecutive years, the Naga City Council for the Welfare and Protection of Children is able to receive an IDEAL rating from the DILG for the plans, programs, and policies for children; and third, a commendation for the Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children (BCPCs) of the 27 barangays of Naga for passing the SGLG-Barangay assessment of DILG.
