Iriga: LTO Region V Issues Show Cause Order Over Viral Reckles Driving Incident in Ocampo, Camarines Sur

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region V is conducting an investigation into the viral video showing an alleged reckless driving incident in Ocampo, Camarines Sur.

Following the initial evaluation of the incident and the available evidence, the LTO has issued a Show Cause Order (SCO) directing the registered driver to explain within ten (10) days why he should not be held administratively liable for Reckless Driving under Section 48 of Republic Act No. 4136 and for being an Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle under Section 27 of the same law.

The driver’s license of the concerned individual has likewise been placed under preventive suspension for a period of ninety (90) days, pending the resolution of the administrative case. The vehicle involved has likewise been placed under alarm status.

LTO Region V remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting road safety, ensuring accountability among motorists, and strictly enforcing traffic laws to protect the lives of all road users.

The agency reminds the public that reckless and irresponsible driving will not be tolerated and that appropriate sanctions will be imposed against violators in accordance with the law.
