Iriga: HVI arrested, P408K worth of Shabu seized in Masbate Operation

A high-value individual was arrested, and 60 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated during an anti-illegal drug operation in Palanas, Masbate, on August 10, 2026.

The operation was led by ODRDO-RPDEU 5, in coordination with the Palanas MPS, PIU-PPDEU, and 2nd PMFC of Masbate PPO, PDEA Masbate Provincial Office, and 502nd MC, RMFB5, with the coordination of PDEA ROV.

Arrested was alias “Rich,” a resident of Palanas, Masbate. Recovered from his possession were 15 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, with a combined weight of 60 grams and an estimated standard drug price of P408,000.00.

The search, inventory, and marking of the seized items were conducted in the presence of the suspect and the mandatory witnesses, in accordance with established procedures. The arrested individual was also apprised of his constitutional rights in a language known to and understood by him.

Charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspect.

The accomplishment underscores PRO 5’s continuing commitment to disrupting the illegal drug supply, protecting Bicolano communities, and maintaining a safe and drug-resilient region.
