Iriga: Emergency response teams from NCR deployed at BRGHGMC

To augment the post-typhoon clinical workforce, the Department of Health deployed a total of 52 health professionals to Bicol Region General Hospital and Geriatric Medical Center (BRGHGM) in Cabusao, Camarines Sur.

They are part of the health emergency response teams (HERTs) Health Secretary Teodoro J. Herbosa has deployed to attend to people in need of healthcare in the Bicol region following Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

A total of 12 health professionals are from East Avenue Medical Center, 15 from Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital, nine (9) from Valenzuela Medical Center, and 16 are from Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital. The team includes members of the WHO-recognized Philippine Emergency Medical Assistance Teams (PEMAT).

On October 29, DOH Bicol Regional Director Dr. Rodolfo Antonio M. Albornoz and his team visited the BRGHGMC and met with its Medical Center Chief Dr. Ramon C. Echano and the deployed medical teams.
