The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Bicol is actively providing additional support to families affected by the recent typhoon in Camarines Sur.
Through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, DSWD FO5 has conducted home visits to the families of four deceased victims and an injured survivor, delivering essential aid. This assistance includes food, funeral support, and psychosocial intervention for the bereaved families.
Additionally, the Department is coordinating with the Local Government Unit of Mercedes, Camarines Norte to provide necessary aid to 13 rescued fishermen and support the families of four others who remain missing.
This initiative is part of DSWD Bicol’s intensified relief efforts, led by Regional Director Norman S. Laurio, to address the urgent needs of families affected by the recent disaster.
