Vigan City, Ilocos Sur – DepEd Region V won 2nd Place Best Decorated Kalesa during the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) and National Festival of Talents (NFOT) 2025.
Adorned with the two major symbols of Bicol, sili and pili, the Kalesa designed by Cloyd Lagyap from Iriga features the rich culture of the Oragons through its spicy delicacies and home of Mayon Volcano.
During the Governor’s Night held at Provincial Farmers Livelihood Development Center on May 20, 2025, RD Gilbert Sadsad and ARD Bebiano Sentillas personally received the plaque of recognition as second place winner.
The Kalesa decoration contest was judged during the cultural parade as part of the NSPC and NFOT 2025 opening ceremony.
