In line with its continuing commitment to partnership and collaboration, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol supports the official launching of the Strengthening Hygiene Initiatives for a Nurturing and Empowered (SHINE) School Communities Initiative, following the selection of Binitayan Elementary School as the Province of Albay’s representative in the Nestlé Wellness Campus Program – Best Implementing School Competition.
As part of the initiative, some students of Binitayan Elementary School performed a dancercise during the agency’s Monday Program Activity through Project “WE DANCE” (Wellness for Everyone through Dance), which advocates proper nutrition, cleanliness, and regular physical exercise among learners and the community.
Binitayan Elementary School also implemented DANCE PARTNERS (Dancercise Adoption for Nurturing Collaboration and Engagement of Partners through Agency and Resource Tie-Ups, Networking, and Expansion of Regional and School-based Wellness Dancercise). The activity promotes inter-agency and cross-school collaboration by engaging various institutions in wellness-related activities.
Under the leadership of Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla Jr., CESO III, DENR Bicol reaffirms its commitment to building strong relationships with academic institutions through strengthened partnerships and collaboration. These efforts foster knowledge exchange and empower schools and communities toward sustainable environmental stewardship.
