Iriga: DENR Bicol Personnel Take Oath of Office

    Four (4) newly appointed and promoted personnel of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol formally took their Oath of Office on March 23, 2026, at the DENR V, Regional Center Site, Rawis, Legazpi City.

    The oath-taking ceremony followed the issuance of Regional Special Order No. 2026-153, which confirmed the appointments and promotions of the employees assigned to various offices within the region.

    The appointees underwent a thorough merit-based selection process conducted by the Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB). The process included initial screening, online examinations, and panel interviews to ensure the selection of qualified and competent personnel.

    The Oath of Office was administered by Regional Executive Director (RED) Francisco E. Milla Jr., and witnessed by OIC, Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services (ARD-TS) Ronnel B. Astor; OIC, ARD for Special Concerns Adona P. San Diego; Sorsogon OIC, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources (PENR) Officer Marlon C. Francia; Albay OIC, PENR Officer Narisol C. Divina; Guinobatan OIC, CENR Officer Gemma F. Se; Sorsogon Chief, Management Services Division (MSD) Yolanda G. Sa-ong; and Surveys and Mapping Division (SMD) Chief Ma. Fenia V. Bahillo.

    In his message, RED Milla extended his congratulations and reminded the employees of the responsibility that comes with public service.

    He further underscored the importance of professionalism and ethical conduct, stating that integrity is competency plus character, and encouraged the new personnel to remain guided by existing rules and regulations in the performance of their duties. He also expressed appreciation to the immediate supervisors present and called on them to continue mentoring and guiding the newly appointed and promoted staff.

    The immediate filling of vacant positions in DENR Bicol reflects the agency’s commitment to strengthening its workforce and enhancing organizational efficiency in delivering environmental services across the region.###
