In the aftermath of the recent typhoon, creeks, canals, and rivers in Iriga City remained clean and free of blockages, thanks to the preemptive declogging efforts conducted by the City Government of Iriga headed by Mayor Rex Oliva prior to the typhoon.

City Mayor Rex Oliva commended the swift actions of the City Engineer’s Office, emphasizing the importance of preventive measures in mitigating the impact of severe weather.

The declogging operations, carried out in the days leading up to the typhoon, focused on removing debris, silt, and waste materials from major waterways, including critical creeks and drainage canals that typically experience heavy runoff during bad weather.
