Iriga city receives P1.7M from DTI for 20423 Lunsod Lunsad approved Project

    The City Government of Iriga received a P1.7 million check from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) under its Lunsod Lunsad program, recognizing the city’s creativity and innovation in cultural and heritage development initiatives.

    DTI Provincial Director Jay Ablan awarded the financial support to Mayor Rex Oliva and iCHAT Head Engr. Nona Vanessa M. Santiago during a ceremonial turnover. The funds will support extensive research, development initiatives, and promotions of the city’s distinct culture and heritage thrusts, as outlined in the approved Lunsod Lunsad project.

    The Lunsod Lunsad program, part of the Philippine Creative Industries Development Act (PCIDA), aims to strengthen local creative potential and foster socioeconomic growth by empowering cities to showcase their cultural identity and innovative projects.

    Mayor Oliva expressed gratitude to DTI for recognizing Iriga City’s dedication to cultural preservation and creative development. He emphasized that the funding will further advance the city’s initiatives in promoting its rich heritage and sustaining economic opportunities for the creative sector.
