After the launching of #PuroKalusugan in Brgy. Recto, Bulan, Sorsogon, Punong Barangay Hon. Nelson A. Morada presided their monthly Barangay Local Health Board Meeting on January 22, 2025. The highlight of the meeting was the crafting of a Barangay Resolution on the continuous implementation of PuroKalusugan in the area.
It was attended by DOH Bicol CHD Assistant Regional Director Dr. Rosa Maria B. Rempillo with DOH Nurse Sana Sarika Villareal, Committee on Health Hon. Maribel B. Gracilla, together with the health team.
Also present in the meeting were Mary Jean F. Hona, Barangay Health Worker, Leonora G. Hallig, Barangay Nutrition Scholar, and Ms. Aileen J. Golloso, Barangay Secretary.
During the meeting, Ms Villareal, the DOH Nurse under the Nurse Deployment Program assigned in the Barangay, said that a total of 69 households were visited during the PuroKalusugan.
In these households, a total of 73 medical consultations, 38 dental consultations, and 2 physical therapies were rendered. A total of 25 individuals were scheduled for blood chemistry test while three (3) individuals were assessed for cervical cancer screening, and three (3) NIP defaulters were tracked and vaccinated.
Health commodities including medicines, jerry cans, and hygiene kits from the DOH Bicol CHD and the Sorsogon Provincial DOH Office were distributed to the residents. Meanwhile, the Rotary Club of Bulan West Coast distributed food packs to senior citizen residents. (DOH5/MDUB)
