The activity held on December 20 to 22, 2021 was conducted as a continuation of the first round of the NVD conducted on November 29 to December 1, 2021.

The vaccination activity targeted to inoculate 685,491 individuals in the Bicol Region. Among the provinces, the island province of Catanduanes recorded the highest coverage, vaccinating over 255.74% of their target. This is followed by Albay with 103.29% of their target vaccinated, Camarines Sur with 89.96%, Sorsogon with 61.91%, Masbate with 60.50%, and Camarines Norte with 57.99%.

The target individuals vaccinated consisted of those who are still unvaccinated and unable to participate in the first round of the NVD. Others who were also unable to participate during the second round of the NVD may still be vaccinated as vaccination sites are scheduled to operate even after the vaccination activity.

The Bicol CHD encourages individuals who have not been vaccinated to get vaccinated before the new year. Likewise, those who are scheduled for their second dose are reminded to complete the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to ensure protection against severe symptoms and death brought about by COVID-19.

It is important that those who were inoculated with the first dose during the vaccination activity receive the second dose to build the desired community protection against COVID-19.
