The Provincial Government of Albay convened agricultural officials across the province to align livestock programs aimed at protecting food supply and preventing animal diseases.
The meeting, organized by the Albay Veterinary Office, brought together city and municipal veterinarians, agriculturists, livestock inspectors, and animal extension workers.
Officials reviewed disease prevention protocols to reduce risks that could affect livestock production.
Inspection systems were also discussed to strengthen food safety monitoring across local government units.
Participants aligned priority livestock programs and projects for the 2026 fiscal year during the session.
The provincial government said stronger coordination among agricultural officers will help safeguard the province’s food supply and support the livelihood of livestock raisers.
