The Bicol Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC), composed of representatives from PNP, DILG, DOH, and PDEA, held the monthly deliberation on May 28, 2024, at the PDEA RO V, Conference Room, Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City, Albay.
As the lead agency of the committee, PDEA RO V, led by DIR III EDGAR T JUBAY, PDEA Bicol Regional Director, represented by DIR II AIDA J FEROLINO, Assistant Regional Director, presided over the online meeting.
During the deliberation, the ROCBDC declared 4 municipalities: Cawayan, Masbate; Lagonoy, Camarines Sur; and Basud and Santa Elena, both from Camarines Norte as drug-cleared. Likewise, the same status was awarded to 5 barangays (from the provinces of Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, and Masbate).
Further, 52 barangays have retained their drug-cleared status and 34 barangays retained their confirmation as drug free.
