On April 18-19, 2024, the DILG Sorsogon Provincial Office, in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Sorsogon through the Sorsogon Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (SPADAC), conducted the 2024 Performance Audit of the fifteen (15) Local Government Units in the province of Sorsogon. This year’s ADAC Audit focuses on assessing the performance year 2023, following the timeline provided in DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2024-028, titled ‘2024 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit and Awards.’

The primary goal of the audit is to evaluate the functionality and effectiveness of local ADACs in alignment with existing regulations and policies. It also aims to identify innovations and best practices endorsed or initiated by ADACs across all levels, while providing a platform for evaluation and recognition of outstanding C/MADACs in Sorsogon.

The ADAC Provincial Audit Committee (PAC), chaired by the DILG and comprised of members from the PNP, PDEA, and two (2) Civil Society Organization (CSO) Representatives, spearheads the Annual Performance Audit of Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs). This audit, conducted by the Department, aims to enhance and evaluate the performance of ADACs in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating anti-illegal drug activities, ensuring continuous improvement.
