Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay Task Force Covid-19 Advisory

The Local Government Unit of Ipil records the FOUR (4) active COVID-19 cases in the municipality. To date, Ipil has a total of FIVE (5) cases, one (1) patient in Manila (IPL 001), and four (4) Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) quarantined in OLD IBT LIGTAS COVID CENTER.

IPL 001
• 57-year-old female
• Admitted in Manila Doctors Hospital
• Home address in Taway, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay but no record of residency in • the barangay
• Resides and works in Manila
• No travel history to Ipil since January 2020

IPL 002
• 37-year-old mal
• LSI from Cebu City
• Traveled via Oslob Port on board Light Ferry and arrived at Dapitan Port on June 30, 2020, 12 midnight
• Traveled from Dapitan riding his motorcycle and was stopped at Gatas, Kalawit checkpoint
• Fetched by LGU ambulance on July 1, 2020, and profiled at the CICL Municipal Quarantine Facility.
• Transferred to Barangay Lower Taway Quarantine Facility on July 4, 2020.
Underwent Rapid Testing with positive results on July 7, 2020.
A swab was taken on the same day.
• Transferred to OLD IBT LIGTAS COVID CENTER on July 8, 2020.
• The patient did not declare upon screening history of pneumoniaPositive RT-PCR/swab test results on July 14, 2020.

IPIL 003
• 25-year-old female, wife of IPL 002
• LSI from Cebu City
• Traveled via Oslob Port onboard Light Ferry and arrived at Dapitan Port on June 30, 2020, 12 midnight
• Traveled from Dapitan onboard a private car and was stopped at Gatas, Kalawit checkpoint
• Fetched by LGU ambulance on July 1, 2020, and profiled at the CICL Municipal Quarantine Facility.
• Transferred to Barangay Lower Taway Quarantine Facility on July 4, 2020.
Underwent Rapid Testing with positive results on July 7, 2020. A swab was taken on the same day.
• Transferred to OLD IBT LIGTAS COVID CENTER on July 8, 2020.
Positive RT-PCR/swab test results on July 14, 2020.
Asymptomatic (no signs and symptoms)

IPIL 004
• 2-year-old female, daughter of IPL 002 and IPL 003
LSI from Cebu City
• Traveled via Oslob Port onboard Light Ferry and arrived at Dapitan Port on June 30, 2020, 12 midnight
• Traveled from Dapitan onboard a private car and was stopped at Gatas, Kalawit checkpoint
• Fetched by LGU ambulance on July 1, 2020, and profiled at the CICL Municipal Quarantine Facility. Transferred to Barangay Lower Taway Quarantine Facility on July 4, 2020.
• Underwent Rapid Testing with positive results on July 7, 2020. A swab was taken on the same day.
• Transferred to OLD IBT LIGTAS COVID CENTER on July 8, 2020.

IPL 005
• 32-year-old male
LSI from Quezon, City
• Traveled from NAIA to Dipolog ob board Cebu Pacific Flight 5J 703 on July 1, 2020.
• Stayed overnight at Sta. Filomena Facility in Dipolog City.
• Fetched by LDRRMO rescue vehicle on July 2, 2020 and profiled at CICL Municipal Quarantine Facility.
• Transferred to Barangay Lower Taway Quarantine Facility on July 4, 2020.
• Underwent Rapid Testing with positive results on July 7, 2020. A swab was taken on the same dayTransferred to OLD IBT LIGTAS COVID CENTER on July 8, 2020.
Positive RT-PCR/swab test results on July 14, 2020.
Asymptomatic (no signs and symptoms)

IPL 002, IPL 003, IPL 004, and IPL 005 are currently being managed at the OLD IBT LIGTAS COVID CENTER in Barangay Taway. The patients were quarantined upon arrival in Ipil, Zamboanga SIbugay, and were not able to have any face to face contact with any of their relatives. Health care workers who managed the patients followed proper protocols and used Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in handling the patients but are now under quarantine as a precautionary measure.
