Interception Of Suspected Smuggled/Without Tax Stamp Cigarettes In Pagadian City


Pagadian City – Acting Chief of Pagadian City Police Station Police Lieutenant Colonel JOENERY V OJAS, reported to Police Colonel ROEL L LAMI-ING, Provincial Director ZSPPO regarding the Interception of Suspected Smuggled/ Without Tax stamp Cigarettes at Community Police Assistance Center (COMPAC), Baloyboan Checkpoint, Pagadian City on September 8, 2021.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Joenery V. Ojas said that on September 8, 2021 at 7:30 A.M PNP Personnel of Pagadian City Police Station assign at Community Police Assistance Center (COMPAC) Brgy Baloyboan led by PCpl. Gringo C. Camache together with 1st PMFC, ZSPPO led by PLT. Jovencio Bucog while conducting checkpoint at National Highway, Baloyboan Checkpoint, Pagadian City intercepted one (1) Unit Green ISUZU ELF CARGO TK REBUILT TRUCK bearing temporary plate number 0716-565250 loaded with Twelve (12) boxes/cases of NELSON Cigarettes and Ninety three (93) boxes/cases of FORT Cigarettes, a total of One Hundred Five (105) boxes/cases driven by NILBERT FLORES LAMBAJON. All cigarettes are undocumented with an estimated market value of more or less One Million Seven Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Pesos (₱ 1,785,000.00).

After the confiscation of said contraband, coordination with the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Region 9 was made by this office for appropriate disposition. Further, a case was prepared by this office against aforementioned respondents. IOC is PCpl. Jaypee Jhon C. Sumamban with contact number 09091959770.

PLTCOL. JOENERY V. OJAS commended the duty personnel at COMPAC Baloyboan personnel for a job well done and encouraged all men and women of Pagadian City Police Station to continue their effort and commitment to arrest/neutralize all Wanted Person in our AOR. Pagadian CPS are requesting the public to support the PNP in the attainment of our mission through giving information and Cooperation.
