According to City Chief of Police Lt. Col. Christian Rafols II, suspect identified as certain RICKY BORROMEO, also known as Rik2x, of legal age, male, married, a resident of Brgy. Rizal, Surigao City.
Initial investigation revealed that Surigao City Police Station intel operatives conducted buy bust operation on firearm against the said suspect with the agreed transaction place. Upon the subject sensing that he is dealing with the PNP poseur buyer, suddenly, suspect drew his firearm and fired towards them, prompting the operatives to defend themselves and fired back hitting the suspect on the different parts of his body that resulted in his death.
Follow up investigation is now being conducted. While the SOCO Team is now processing the crime scene. (This is a developing story)
